Deeply passionate about design craft, I enjoy working at the coal-face alongside developers, BAs, testers and other designers.
I believe empathy is the foundation of meaningful design – understanding people, their needs and the context in which they work.
I’m exploring AI and agentic workflows to streamline design-to-development, including Figma MCP, Cursor and Claude.
I’ve founded several start-ups, including a data visualisation platform and a retail loyalty app, and ran my own business for 12 years (2003–2015).
I value strong, collaborative relationships with development teams and enjoy bringing different perspectives together to find the best path forward.
Known for being diplomatic and open-minded, I’m comfortable challenging ideas while remaining focused on achieving the best outcome.
I’ve travelled to 30+ countries, giving me a broad appreciation for different cultures, perspectives and ways of thinking.
Born in Gisborne, New Zealand, I’m now based on the southern Gold Coast and am a proud father to a young daughter.
